DUO’s Bay RUF MANIC FISH 77 COREMAN is a sinking pencil designed for situations where sea bass selectively feed on small baitfish. It downsizes the proven MANIC FISH, which has built a strong track record in daytime sea bass fishing, to 77 mm. The compact body retains the MANIC FISH’s characteristic ability to maintain contact with the water and its quick action startup, making it easier to develop a baitfish-oriented approach even in challenging conditions. This collaboration model with COREMAN measures 77 mm, weighs 9 g, and features a fixed weight balance and sinking design.

On a steady retrieve, it produces the MANIC series’ tight rolling action with subtle vibrations, quickly rising to just below the surface while creating a wake. Adding rod work can also produce a panic action that mimics baitfish fleeing in confusion. The basic approach is to retrieve it steadily near the surface, with retrieve speed and twitches adjusted according to conditions. It is equipped with size #10 hooks, while the COREMAN model uses genuine COREMAN Lures Gamakatsu Treble 13 hooks. In addition to sea bass chasing small baitfish, it is also suited to targeting applications for black sea bream, rockfish, and small pelagic fish.
