DUEL EQ — Features & specifications
DUEL’s EQ (Egi Original) is a traditional Oita-style egi designed as the basic form of a squid jig, with enhanced controllability during jerks, darts, and falls. Featuring body and sinker shapes developed through DUEL’s years of experience, it produces sharp darting action after a jerk, then brakes from its extended movement and quickly transitions into a fall. Its simple, streamlined tuning emphasizes a light, responsive feel and stable falling action.
The body is equipped with Pata Pata® Fin Wide fins, which catch the current and generate vibration. The fins continue to create vibration during the fall after the action, attracting squid. The hooks feature the Trick Hook Keimura specification; when snagged, the hooks stretch to an appropriate degree, making them easier to free and helping improve retrieval. Designed for a basic approach of jerking, darting, and then allowing the jig to fall, it can be used with different body colors—including glow, blue glow, Keimura, clear, and Neon Flash® Red—according to the current and light conditions.
