DUEL Super X-wire

DUEL’s Super X-wire PE line is designed for superior handling and durability, from casting to jigging. Its core material is TOYOBO’s ultra-high-strength polyethylene fiber, “IZANAS®.” After being tightly woven using micro-pitch braiding, the fibers are bonded together through a specialized heat treatment called the H.I.P. (Heat Integration Process). This construction enhances the line’s roundness and gives the PE line a controlled degree of stiffness and body, while improving abrasion resistance and reducing color fading and fraying around the area held by the fingers.

The close bonding between the fibers reduces resistance during casting, helping increase casting distance while also suppressing noise caused by friction against the guides. The line’s stiffness helps minimize casting-related tangles and other issues. When jigging, its smooth water-cutting performance helps prevent the line from impeding the jig’s descent, while reducing resistance during jigging motions caused by line slack. In elongation tests, the line is reported to stretch 44.4 cm under a 1 kg load applied to 100 m, compared with 86.3 cm for conventional PE line, pursuing a more direct feel and greater sensitivity. The series includes Super X-wire 4 and Super X-wire 8, with specifications such as 150 m, 200 m, and 300 m spools.
