DECOY’s ZERO-DAN ROCK-FLASH is a strong model designed for hard-fighting rockfish, combining a heavy-wire offset hook with a high-strength egg snap. After reaching the bottom and beginning the retrieve, the built-in blade creates flash to attract fish. Its low-center-of-gravity design helps reduce lift during the retrieve compared with conventional bladed jigs, making it easier to maintain a presentation near the bottom. It is suited to targeting reaction bites from the blade’s flash around rocky shorelines and other areas while maintaining bottom contact. Available in #1/0 14 g and #3/0 21 g sizes, both featuring heavy-wire hooks. The basic technique is a steady retrieve after the lure reaches the bottom, with the retrieve speed adjusted to suit the terrain and water depth.
