TACKLEHOUSE’s CONTACT FEED. DIVING WOBBLER is an offshore plug designed to produce a wobbling action just beneath the surface—distinct from both a popper and a diving pencil. It is primarily intended for targeting offshore pelagic species, including yellowtail amberjack, with repeated short jerks that pull the lure below the surface, where it wobbles while enveloped in bubbles to entice fish.

Its distinctive feature is an almost vertical floating posture, with the weight concentrated toward the tail. Even during a brief pause after a jerk, the lure readily brings its face back to the surface, allowing anglers to maintain a fast-paced retrieve. A weight chamber extends across the body, housing the R-Unit 2.0 Revolver, in which the weight moves laterally around a central shaft. As the weight swings like a pendulum and rotates around the shaft, it creates an irregular attraction that does not easily synchronize with the water, even while the lure is paused or drifting among the waves. CFDW150 is the first model in the series, featuring a floating configuration measuring 150 mm and weighing 54 g. CFDW135 is an easy-to-use size for both shore and offshore fishing, and is designed to resist breaking out of the water even in rough conditions. CFDW175 rises quickly and supports retrieves that combine the characteristics of both a diving pencil and a popper, including pop-and-swim actions and swimming retrieves with repeated jerks. Recommended hook sizes are specified for each model: Owner ST-66 #2/0 is the standard for CFDW150, while ST-56 #1/0 is the standard for CFDW135.
