TACKLE HOUSE’s Tai Jig is a metal jig developed to enable anglers to create an active presentation when jigging for red sea bream. In addition to attracting fish with a simple retrieve like a tai-rubber lure, it is designed to be manipulated with rod-work jerks, allowing anglers to impart the action with their own intent. Its body features a distinctive T-shaped cross-section. On the fall, it rolls and flutters while weaving from side to side; on the retrieve, it maintains its posture while rolling and wagging its tail.

The basic technique is a steady retrieve after casting or once the jig reaches the bottom. The depth can be adjusted with a countdown, allowing the jig to swim vertically, horizontally, or diagonally near the bottom or through the midwater column. In addition to fast and slow retrieves, it also responds to rod-jerk presentations, allowing the depth, speed, and action to be adjusted according to conditions. The product is available in 40 g, 60 g, 80 g, 100 g, 120 g, and 150 g models, with the size set according to weight. Tai Jig Slim, which features a slimmer body, is also available in multiple weights, including 80 g. Hooks are sold separately, and compatible Tai Jig Hooks can be used in single or double configurations. The basic setup is a double hook on the front eye and a single hook on the rear eye. By changing the assist-line length, number of hooks, and hook size, the setup can be adjusted for presentations focused on solid hooksets or more delicate, load-up-style bites.
