DAIWA’s SALTIGA C DOGFIGHT is an offshore casting rod developed around Mr. Ichiro Sato’s tuna-fishing theory and the “bend the rod to land the fish” fighting style. Its blank features a supple taper and powerful recovery, providing casting distance while reducing physical strain during long fights and allowing anglers to lift large fish by keeping the rod high.

The blank uses high-density HVF carbon, emphasizing resilience and strength. Combined with X45 Full Shield to suppress twisting generated during casting, lure action, hook-setting, and fighting, it is designed to make it easier to bring out the rod’s inherent performance. V-JOINTα is used at the joints to maintain strength while ensuring light weight and smooth flex. The butt guide is an RV guide designed for smooth line flow when using heavy line. The lineup consists of six models—84-6, 78-8, 81-8, 76-10, 72-12, and 67-15—covering PE line sizes from No. 6 to No. 15 and maximum lure weights from 130 to 270 g. By selecting the appropriate length and power, the series is suited to everything from yellowfin tuna to large bluefin tuna, while the lighter-class models are also designed for amberjack casting.
