Daiwa Sky High

DAIWA’s SKYHIGH is a saltwater multi-purpose rod designed to make it easier to load lure weight into the blank and deliver cast after cast with a爽快な feel. Primarily intended for sea bass, it is suited to shore fishing in areas such as surf, river mouths, and breakwaters. Depending on the model, it can also be used for flatfish, sea-run cherry salmon, and light shore jigging.

The blank uses lightweight, high-strength HVF carbon, while X45 helps reduce blank twisting for a sharp, responsive feel. As the first DAIWA sea bass rod to feature a carbon monocoque rear grip, it improves rigidity and reduces power loss during casting, while also enhancing sensitivity and handling. The guides feature stainless-steel K-style frames to help reduce line tangles, paired with Alconite rings.

The 96ML offers an easy-to-handle power setting for sea bass, flatfish, and sea-run cherry salmon in rivers and surf areas. The 96M handles a wide range of lures with ease, from minnows and sinking pencils to high-density vibration lures. The 100ML excels at long-distance casting with lightweight lures such as minnows up to approximately 12 cm, small vibration lures, and soft plastics in river mouths and surf areas. The 100M is designed for working approximately 12 cm minnows, sinking pencils, and high-density vibration lures in open areas, while the 106M is a longer model focused on greater casting distance and is well suited to use in surf areas and river mouths.
