Daiwa’s EMERALDAS STOIST ST is a stream-tuned model that pursues a different direction from the RT, focusing on the handling and sensitivity of eging through the concept of “sharpness within flexibility.” Its supple SVF Nano Plus blank is combined, depending on the model, with an SMT (Super Metal Top), Mega Top, ultra-fine tubular tip, or high-modulus solid tip to create tip designs that make it easier to detect changes during jerking, the fall, and while the lure is stationary. X45 helps suppress blank twisting, while V-Joint α reverse spigot joints, AGS guides (C-Ring and N-Ring), and CWS guide locking enhance rigidity and handling performance. The shortened foregrip makes it easier to touch the blank with your fingertips, supporting delicate lure control.

Each model has its own distinct character. The 88ML-SMT is a semi-long model designed primarily for use with size 3 to 3.5 egi lures. Its supple taper and SMT tip make it easy to detect changes in current, while also making it suitable for shallow, gently sloping areas. The 65M TG is intended for boat eging in southern regions, as well as targeting deep water and strong currents with approximately 90 g-class egi lures fitted with sinkers. The 73L-S is a delicate model for autumn squid fishing with egi lures of size 3 or smaller, while the 82ML-5 is a five-piece model designed with portability in mind.
