DAIWA’s EMERALDAS X BOAT series is designed for boat eging, covering everything from tip-run eging to boat casting, with an emphasis on lightweight handling and delicate sensitivity. The carbon-fiber Air Sensor Seat contributes to reduced weight, high strength, and high sensitivity, while the butt section features Braiding X. By reinforcing the outermost layer of the blank in an X pattern with carbon tape, it suppresses twisting during operation and delivers a stable feel with minimal wobble while retaining a supple action. K Guides are used on all models to help reduce line tangles.

The 65LS-S is a finesse model featuring a supple blank that makes it easy to keep egi lures suspended, suited to shallow areas where lighter egi lures are used and to targeting numbers of small to medium-sized squid. Egi lure weights, including the sinker, range from 15 to 50 g. The 65MLS-S is a standard-length all-around model that combines delicate sensitivity with power during action, making it easy to expand the range of tip-run techniques, and is suited to weights from 18 to 70 g. The lineup also includes the 511MLS-S, a short-length model focused on maneuverability and sharp control; the 70MS-S, which makes it easy to enjoy both tip-run and casting with a single rod; and the 65MLS IL, which features a linear interline construction designed to help reduce line tangles.
