DAIWA’s EMERALDAS BOAT CTR squid jig is designed to handle both boat casting and shallow-water Tip Run fishing at a high level with a single lure. Combining CT (casting) and TR (Tip Run) elements, it is designed for easy use across applications ranging from standard boat eging to Tip Run fishing. By attaching the separately sold Kamen Sinker Boat, it can also be used for deep-water Tip Run fishing.
Its action is characterized by a straightforward darting motion without the body rolling onto its side. During a free fall, it minimizes forward movement while maintaining a smooth falling posture, creating a pause that allows squid to take the jig. The 2.5-size model has a fall rate of 3.3 seconds per meter, while the 3.0 and 3.5-size models are set at 2.7 seconds per meter. Available in sizes 2.5, 3.0, and 3.5, it can be selected according to the water depth and fishing technique, from shallow-water Tip Run and casting to deep-water fishing with an added sinker. The lineup includes colors featuring UV-reactive and glow finishes.
