SMITH LTD’s LOURDISH 95HS is a 95 mm, approximately 40 g heavy sinking minnow developed to target depths that are difficult to reach with typical small minnows, yet where larger minnows often fail to draw strikes. Its high specific gravity allows it to sink quickly and reach deep water and areas close to the bottom with ease. Although designed as a minnow, it can probe deep water in a way similar to a vibration plug. For targeting large fish, it features a strong through-wire construction inside the lure.

The action is a sharp wobble-and-roll, led primarily by a pronounced wobble, with smooth action from the moment it starts swimming. It gets into action readily when the retrieve begins after a long cast or countdown, allowing you to clearly feel the lure’s action through the rod. Its well-balanced design also helps prevent the action from breaking down during high-speed retrieves, making it suitable for quickly retrieving it just beneath the surface immediately after it lands. The basic method is to cast, let the lure sink on a countdown to the target depth, and retrieve at a steady speed. In addition to slowly searching deep water, it can also be used for high-speed retrieves from long range, such as when casting to feeding schools. It is fitted with #4 hooks with a tin finish.
