SMITH’s OCEAN PERFORMER NEZAKANA TAISHO is a hog-style soft lure designed for rockfish that primarily feed on crustaceans. Featuring a short, crustacean-inspired body with lateral appendages on both sides, its shape makes it easy to set the hook quickly after a bite without unnecessary delay. Its design also helps anglers take control before the fish can retreat into cover.
The lure is equipped with twin curly tails with rounded tips that readily grab water. The thin tails respond to lightweight rigs, dead-slow dragging, and natural movement created by current, producing an appealing action during the fall, drag, and lift-and-fall without stopping. The tail bases are thickened to reduce interference between the two tails and generate a stable action. The material is heavily blended with crustacean powder to stimulate rockfish through both taste and scent.
