Jackson Buri Worm

Jackson’s Buri Buri Worm is a soft-bait-and-dedicated-jig-head model developed as an option for bluefish that are difficult to trigger with plugs, bladed jigs, or metal jigs. It is designed to be used with a specially developed high-pitch, high-response soft bait, operated on a fast retrieve to trigger the feeding response of bluefish, and sent down to fish-eating predators holding in mid-depth to deep areas.

The jig head features a large keeper to help prevent the soft bait from slipping, allowing it to handle second bites from bluefish. It comes standard with a heavy-wire hook designed for fighting medium- to large-sized bluefish. Because the soft bait responds at a high pitch during the retrieve, it is well suited to being retrieved at a steady speed from the depth to which it has been allowed to sink. Repeated testing has produced numerous catches of yellowtail, with proven results also recorded for Spanish mackerel and cutlassfish. The lineup uses a 3.5-inch soft bait; the 40 g model is fitted with a size 5 hook, while the 50 g model is fitted with a size 4 hook.
