Sasame Shout! Blue Assist PE

SASAME HOOKS, LTD.’s SHOUT! Blue Assist PE is a blue-colored PE line for making your own assist hooks. The blue color is said to be less likely to alert fish. It uses Dyneema PE line as its material and is said not to suffer the UV-related strength deterioration associated with aramid fibers such as Kevlar. The line is braided into a hollow, tubular structure with the core removed, allowing it to be used for assembling assist hooks, including making a loop eye with a needle.

Compared with Kevlar of the same diameter, it is softer and more supple, making it easier to attach to hooks and rings and to adjust the length. Available strengths are 50 lb, 80 lb, 100 lb, 120 lb, 150 lb, 200 lb, and 300 lb. Lengths are 3 m for 50–100 lb, 2.5 m for 120–150 lb, and 2 m for 200–300 lb. By selecting the appropriate strength and length, you can make loop eyes and attach the line to hooks according to the specifications of the jigging assist hook you are building.
