SASAME HOOKS, LTD.’s SHOUT KUDAKO is a powerful hook developed for targeting and landing large yellowtail, greater amberjack, and yellowtail kingfish, from big fish in nearshore waters to overseas expeditions. It is made from lightweight, high-strength high-carbon steel. The hook features an inturned point designed to reduce snags and foul-hooking while promoting solid hookups in the fish’s mouth.
The hook point features a long-taper design that allows load to transfer smoothly from the initial penetration to the bend. It also has a wide holding bend for improved fish retention after the hookup. Its key feature is the up-eye (outward-bent ring), designed for use with assist hooks tied with thick, stiff cord, making it easy to configure as an assist hook. It can also be used with a well-balanced setup when attached to a lure’s rear eye using a split ring. The 04-KH features a silver finish and is available in sizes 1/0 through 9/0. As a jigging hook, the appropriate size can be selected according to the assist line and lure size used.
