OWNER STX-38ZN Stinger Triple Extra is a treble hook designed to help reduce pulled hooks by taking into account the direct load and changes in tension that are more likely to occur when using PE line. It inherits the “PE-line compatible” concept of the new-generation STX series and is rated as Power Class 3.
Made from Tough Wire material, it enhances point sharpness and durability, as well as the overall strength of the hook. Its form is designed to accommodate the characteristics of PE line, helping to prevent pulled hooks caused by the fish’s flesh tearing or irregular slackening of tension. Despite being finished to surpass the conventional ST series, its weight is set at approximately the same as the ST-36.
Therefore, on lures fitted with ST-36 hooks, it can be used as a replacement hook with the same feel. This model is suitable when you want to strengthen the hooks without significantly changing the weight balance, as well as for lure-fishing setups using PE line. Available sizes are #14, #12, #10, #8, #6, #5, #4, and #2.
