Cultiva Joint Axe

Cultiva’s Joint AX is a jig head designed to work a lure at a dead-slow pace, from just below the surface to close to the bottom. Its head design helps it rise during the retrieve, while the jointed construction enhances its action. The front of the head is shaped to reduce air resistance during flight, making it easy to cast long distances. Its quiet entry also makes it suitable for use in calm, confined areas.

The split-ring design allows the hook to be replaced, enabling you to adjust the action by changing the combination of soft bait and hook. The construction provides ample range of movement for an offset hook, bringing out the soft bait’s vibration and wide-wobbling action, while the joint section absorbs head shakes to help reduce hook-outs. The basic presentation is a slow retrieve, making it suitable for targeting flounder, flathead, sea bass, and other species. Available weights are 3/16, 1/4, 3/8, 1/2, and 3/4 oz.
