Gamakatsu Speed Metal

Gamakatsu’s SPEEDMETAL Egi Dropper is designed for use with ikametal and omorig, taking advantage of the egi-style body’s ability to track the current and maintain a stable underwater posture. The 1.8 size is suited to tough conditions and fast currents where it can be difficult to elicit a response with a size 2.5 egi, allowing you to present a smaller silhouette with a slow fall unique to this size. The 2.5 size is designed as a standard dropper for omorig, retaining the body shape, sinker shape, and weight of the previous model while incorporating a Gamakatsu squid hook.

The body is designed to receive an appropriate amount of water flow, helping to stabilize its posture while maintaining an egi-style silhouette and enticing squid during the fall. It also supports rotations using different sizes: the 1.8 features a smaller silhouette and slow fall, while the 2.5 offers a strong presence and a weight that is easy to handle with omorig. Change sizes and colors according to current speed and squid response. Use it as the dropper on an ikametal rig, or pair it with an egi when fishing omorig. The squid hook incorporates the expertise of a dedicated hook manufacturer, making it easier to convert subtle bites into solid hooksets.
