Gamakatsu Luxxe

Gamakatsu’s LUXXE OCTORISE TAKOEGI 2.0 is a tako egi designed to help reduce snagging by making it less likely to enter gaps between rocks and other structures on the seafloor. Its large 4.5-size, 45 g body is paired with a keel sinker that minimizes the step between the body and the head, creating a structure that helps maintain a stable posture when it reaches the bottom or is dragged along the seafloor. The sinker shape is designed with smooth passage over the seafloor in mind, making it suitable for probing the bottom.

The hook system features a strong, barbless three-prong hook at the front and an Assist Kanna 2.0 with a semi-umbrella-style Kanna hook positioned behind it. The front three-prong hook is designed to hook medium- to large-sized octopus, while the rear Assist Kanna 2.0 helps prevent hooked octopus from slipping free. After the lure reaches the bottom, it is best used primarily by dragging it along while checking the contours of the seafloor. The body, keel sinker, and hook system are designed as an integrated unit, creating a configuration that targets solid hooksets while helping reduce snagging.
