Gamakatsu’s WINDMASTER ROUND-D-HEAD is a jig head designed to produce a “slow 3D dart action,” combining side-to-side darts with vertical movement using minimal effort under the “slow wind” concept. It is available in a wide range of weights, including lightweight models, for situations when cutlassfish are less active and unable to keep up with fast lure falls or darts.
The round-shaped head is designed not only to send the soft bait darting from side to side, but also to add vertical movement when the rod is sharply lifted. In addition to standard wind-style action, it is also well suited to falling and steady retrieves, allowing you to adjust your presentation to the conditions. Available colors are Glow and Silver. Weights range from 1/8 oz (3.5 g) to 3/4 oz (21 g). The 3.5–7 g models are equipped with a #4 hook, while the 10–21 g models feature a #2 Treble RB M. Pair it with a separately sold wind-style soft bait and rig it along the bait’s hook-setting line.
