Gamakatsu Ohgen

Gamakatsu’s OHGEN hook series is designed for tai-rubber fishing, pursuing instant penetration the moment a fish makes contact to promote an earlier initial hookup. The OHGEN Custom Hook Super Quick features a light-wire design, straight point, micro barb, and short shank, with a large hook-point angle. This lightweight hook is designed to penetrate deeply to the barb under the fish’s own weight, making it suitable for hookups without setting the hook.

The single-hook, pre-tied models include double-tied Short, Medium, and Standard versions, as well as three-hook, four-hook, and long-loop configurations. The OHGEN Custom Tune Hook Set Super Quick, which combines the three-hook and four-hook configurations, is designed to be connected directly to the Custom Swivel SSH with a direct knot, creating a setup aimed at hooking fish around the mouth. The three-hook version uses different hook sizes at the top, middle, and bottom, with the arrangement designed to stay in sync with the tie. The four-hook version uses twin hooks at both the top and bottom for multiple-hooking situations, allowing anglers to select the number and size of hooks and the tying method according to the conditions.
