Owner Racing Spec Tachi-uo Tune

OWNER’s Racing Spec Tachiuo-specific Tune (RSBL-15) is a single assist hook for jigging, designed with the predatory behavior and habitat of tachiuo (Japanese cutlassfish) in mind. It is engineered for easy hooksets even when using UL tackle or letting jigs weighing 100 g or less fall. Based on the tachiuo responses observed during testing of the RS-15, it has been refined with an emphasis on reduced weight and improved hooking performance.

The barbless design promotes smooth hook penetration, while the shape helps maintain a hookset during sudden slack-line conditions. The Plus Edge on the hammered section helps prevent the hook from pulling free, and its slightly raised angle reduces water-pressure resistance. SW fluorine plating minimizes friction resistance, supports instantaneous hooksets with light tackle, and also provides corrosion resistance. The fully round, high-toughness wire is designed to utilize the shank’s flex as the fish runs, distributing the load over a wider area to help reduce pulled hooks caused by tearing. It pairs well with delicate techniques centered on short jigs, using frequent pauses and falls, and is also suitable for multi-hook setups. Due to its delicate design, excessive drag settings or unnecessary loads may cause the hook to deform.
