Evergreen Amazon

EVERGREEN International’s Amazon is a 16.0 cm, 43.0 g floating big pencil bait developed for situations in which saltwater targets, including sea bass, are feeding on large baitfish such as konoshiro gizzard shad. Despite its plastic construction, its buoyancy is tuned to engage the water like a wooden plug, while the large body generates strong water displacement for a pencil bait.

It responds readily to rod work, allowing anglers to produce a fast dog-walk, wide side-to-side skiing action, and splashing that strikes the surface. Each time the lure swings its head, its internal rattle produces a sharp “Kachiin!” sound, communicating the lure’s presence across broad open areas and in situations where large baitfish are densely concentrated. Its lipless design creates little air resistance, and combined with its weight, it enables long-range surface presentations. By varying the rod work during retrieves, anglers can imitate the frantic movements of large baitfish such as konoshiro gizzard shad fleeing in panic. The front, center, and rear hook hangers are all #3, and the standard treble hook size is #1 for each position. The Bone-material model uses highly buoyant, high-hardness milky-white natural ABS resin, resulting in differences in water displacement, splash, and sound intensity.
