Ecogear Magnet Keeper

ECOGEAR’s MAGNET KEEPER is a hook holder designed to stabilize an assist hook rigged on a soft lure during casting and swimming, while allowing the hook to follow the fish’s movements after hookset. A powerful magnet is secured to the soft-lure body with a coil, while the hook is held along an ABS resin guide rail. This design helps keep the hook upright and allows you to set it while adjusting the orientation of the assist hook. When a fish is hooked, the hook detaches from the magnet, preventing it from remaining fixed when the fish thrashes and allowing it to follow the fish’s movements more easily.

When combined with an assist hook, the hook orientation can be adjusted to suit different situations, such as prioritizing snag resistance or hook-up performance. It can be used to rig soft lures intended for hairtail, flatfish, rockfish, and other species. Available in S and L sizes, it can be selected to match the soft lure and assist hook being used.
