YGK SEA BRAID is designed as assist hook line to help reduce tangles through its stiffness and resilience. It uses a composite line combining nylon and polyarylate, providing high strength and abrasion resistance. With a specific gravity of 1.40, its distinctive stiffness helps reduce tangling between sections of line when tying assist hooks.
When making your own assist hooks for jigging and other applications, cut the line to the required length and connect it to the hook, using the line’s stiffness to help control the hook’s orientation and movement. Supplied in 5 m spools, it is available in red and blue, with multiple sizes ranging from No. 6 to No. 40. In addition to being used as assist hook line, it is also officially listed as leader material for big-game casting applications, including GT fishing, allowing you to select the appropriate size according to the intended use and the required rig strength.
