Keeper Line Seize Shad

Keeper Line’s C,sShad is a soft bait shaped through hands-on fishing experience on the Yodo River, designed to entice and trigger bites with light rigs in high-pressure conditions. Its design allows it to imitate everything from baitfish to crustaceans, depending on the rig and presentation technique. Its size is suited to imitating small baitfish such as juvenile ayu, as well as newly hatched crayfish.

One of its defining features is its tail, which is rigged in the opposite direction from that of conventional soft baits. The body’s constricted section runs vertically, while the tail section runs horizontally. The two pin tails that form the V-tail create subtle movements, and the combination of these three actions produces a varied presentation that resists becoming monotonous. The flat body readily catches water, making it easy to feel and control even with a low-density soft bait. It uses KL Material, developed with an emphasis on enticing and triggering bites. Its slim, easy-to-eat body and soft, low-density material that is easy for fish to inhale respond to subtle rod movements while keeping the bait’s travel distance to a minimum. Primarily used with light rigs, it can be presented to imitate baitfish or crustaceans by changing the rig and retrieval technique.
