Aros Japan Bama Bama

AROS Japan’s BAMABAMA is a wire bait designed to make casting an Alabama rig and controlling its depth easier with a lightweight configuration. It is intended for use with everything from conventional horizontal swimbait retrieves to Bamast techniques. It features a five-arm configuration with one main arm and four sub-arms, and weighs 6.5 g without the blades. The main arm uses 1T wire, while the sub-arms use 0.9T wire.

With the blades attached, it can be used to retrieve multiple shad-style soft baits horizontally. Removing the blades allows it to be converted to a Bamast setup with pin-tail shad-style baits. A key feature is the ability to adjust the level of attraction and retrieve resistance by changing whether the blades are attached and by selecting different lure combinations. AROS’s original “Roll Bama” design produces a diagonal rolling action accompanied by vibration during the retrieve, creating the appearance of a school of baitfish with multiple lures moving in sync. The head section is equipped with a swivel to help reduce line and rig twisting during casting, retrieving, and hook setting. According to the manufacturer, four blades are included; soft baits and hooks must be prepared separately for rigging.
