GOLDWorks Takumi Tools are a series of tools developed for tasks such as checking bearing rotation and removing press-fit components during reel overhauls and maintenance. The Bearing Checker features a tuning-fork-like structure formed by a shaft that extends from the head through to the inside of the handle, making it easy to detect noise generated by bearings. With the tip component removed, it can also be used as a rod for pushing out one-way clutches. It is made of duralumin.
The separately sold Pickup Cap is a stainless-steel pickup tool that replaces the tip of the Bearing Checker. Its seamless machined construction, slightly thicker tip, and optimized bend angle and shaft length enable the removal of one-hole handle knob caps and bearings inside handle knobs, as well as oil-adhered handle retainers, shims inside worm shafts, sound-producing pin springs inside star drags, bearings in clutch cam assemblies, hole-type levelwind pins, pinion bearings, and more. The Pickup Cap alone requires the shaft body, sold separately.
