California Worms’ Shark features a distinctive shape unlike that of a standard straight worm, designed to take full advantage of the expressive action of hand-poured worms. In addition to straight worms and Mini Shakers, California Worms offers the original shape known as the Shark, made from a highly elastic and buoyant plastic material. The Shark 4.5-inch features a body that tapers into the tail, resembling an elongated Reaper. This design creates water displacement unlike that of a simple stick-style worm, while the entire body ripples during manipulation.
It is particularly easy to use on a Texas rig and is suited to working cover with techniques such as dragging it along the bottom and shaking it. The tail can also be split down the center to create a setup in which the two sections move independently. This distinctive 4.5-inch model makes it easy to create presentations that combine a presence difficult to achieve with a conventional straight worm and the unique feel of California Worms’ material.
