Teckellure Slash Kicker

Teckel’s Slashkicker is a renewed pencil popper based on an original design by Hideki Maeda. Rather than moving widely like a conventional walking bait, it is designed to produce a wiping action that swings its head from side to side in a fan-like motion, using the rear of the body as a pivot point while minimizing forward travel. The cup-shaped mouth catches water to create splashes and spits, attracting fish to the surface with every movement of the rod tip.

Its rear-weighted construction enables long, extended casts. The tail section houses steel balls in two sizes, producing a rhythmic knocking sound from a large single knocker and a rattle sound from smaller balls in a separate chamber. It is easy to control even with the rod held high, producing a tight, low-travel head swing with light twitches and a wiping action accompanied by splashes with continuous input. Equipped with three treble hooks, the hook hangers are positioned to help reduce tangles with the hooks and line while allowing the hooks to move naturally along the belly. This model features 3D eyes and feathered pectoral fins, measures 5.75 inches in length, and weighs 1 ounce.
