Teckel’s Maxqueaker is a buzzbait designed to produce a squeak sound immediately upon use by generating contact noise as the blade rotates. Its unique blade connection system eliminates the rivet behind the blade and places a brass rocker at the center, creating multiple contact points. The flat, keel-shaped head is designed to maintain its attitude even when the retrieve speed changes, while a brass knocker inside the head produces additional sound. By adding slight flex to the wire arm, anglers can switch between the knocker’s cracking sound and a quieter squeak sound.
The shaft wire features grooves to accommodate blade replacement and color changes. The rivet-free design at the rear also helps reduce weed pickup around the blade. A wire bait keeper secures soft-bait trailers, while a hand-tied, hand-trimmed silicone skirt is paired with a Gamakatsu hook. The compact Maxqueaker Pup is a smaller variation that retains the basic structure and mechanism, offering a different profile and volume from the standard model.
