Teckellure Sprinkler

Teckel’s SPRINKER is a frog designed to combine the cover-skipping ability of a frog with the surface disturbance of a prop bait. It features a soft-material paddle tail attached to the rear of its hollow body, with the tail designed to rotate via a swivel inside the body. During the retrieve, the tail rotates as it strikes the surface, generating a distinctive sound and spray while keeping the body tracking straight.

The basic technique is a steady retrieve at a constant speed without imparting additional rod action. The rotating tail allows you to cover a wide area of the surface, while pausing the bait or working it with subtle movements around cover edges and openings in floating vegetation can also trigger strikes. The hollow frog design makes it easier to work around cover when the hook points are positioned along the body. In open water, retrieving at a speed that does not hinder the tail’s action produces surface movement similar to that of a prop bait. The tail is replaceable, and one spare tail is included. It is easy to achieve a stable action with a steady retrieve, combining the control of a frog with the sound and spray generated by the tail.
