BLACK MARIA’s BM FINESS BUZZ is a buzzbait developed for quietly targeting specific spots with a slow presentation amid declining bass numbers and increasingly pressured waters. Unlike conventional buzzbaits designed with an emphasis on long-distance casting, it pursues a lighter, quieter splashdown and a configuration that is easy to retrieve at low speeds.
It uses thinner wire than a standard buzzbait, directly transmitting the propeller’s water resistance to the head to create a vibrating action. The propeller combines double blades with excellent tracking performance, providing stable straight-line movement and supporting slow retrieves. Like the BM TRIPLE SPIN, it is also designed to produce the scraping sound of aluminum components, generating contact noise in addition to its surface action. The basic approach is to deliver it to the targeted spot while minimizing splashdown noise, then retrieve it slowly. Adjust the line tension and retrieve speed, and work it across the surface while maintaining a state in which the propeller catches the water and shakes the head. It is available in 1/4 oz and 3/8 oz sizes, allowing you to choose according to the distance to the target area, wind conditions, and the level of control needed.
