ELEMENTS’ MATADOR is a high-buoyancy subsurface lure created in collaboration with skillful. It combines ELEMENTS’ design with skillful’s expertise in foamed urethane, featuring a design that takes advantage of buoyancy difficult to achieve with plastic lures. Designed to work just below the surface, it is suited to covering shallow water while making use of its buoyancy.
The body features a floating design made from foamed urethane, measuring 3.5 inches (90 mm) in length and weighing 0.7 oz (approximately 20 g). Compared with balsa, foamed urethane offers more consistent quality and supply, while providing the high buoyancy that is difficult to achieve with plastic—qualities that skillful continues to pursue in this material. It is fitted with size #3 hooks and size #3 split rings.
