Greenfish Tackle’s Shin Fukae Chibi Jig is a rubber jig designed around a compact silhouette approach that imitates small bait, incorporating input from professional angler Shin Fukae. “Chibi,” the name’s inspiration, means “small” in Japanese, and the jig is designed to deliver a more compact, streamlined presentation than a standard jig. Intended for use with small trailers, it features a hand-tied skirt trimmed short for a compact overall profile that keeps the jig and trailer neatly together.

The head features a recessed line eye, with the line tie set into the head to help reduce snagging around cover and structure. It also includes a weed guard for working around obstacles such as rocks, wood, and vegetation. The double-barbed bait keeper securely holds soft baits in place and helps maintain the setup through repeated casting and retrieves. Pair it with a small craw-style or chunk-style trailer and use it for pitching or flipping along cover, or crawling it along the bottom to take advantage of the compact jig’s presence. The 7/16 oz model is suited to situations where its additional weight over the 5/16 oz model helps send the jig into cover or down to the bottom.
