issei’s Gill Gill 2.8in is a soft bait designed to imitate the silhouette and movement of a juvenile bluegill by combining a flat, wide bluegill-shaped body with Sakana Sakana’s ultra-thin tail and a two-section design. The joint at the rear of the body and the thin tail flutter and sway underwater, creating a lifelike action while maintaining the volume and presence of a bluegill-shaped bait. Compared with the wide-bodied Gill Gill, the slender-bodied Sakana Sakana offers a different silhouette, allowing you to adapt your presentation to the fish’s response.
It is compatible with hover-strolling, split-shot, and weightless rigs, while the officially recommended rigs include the drop-shot and split-shot rigs. The second body section can also be detached and used on its own. Recommended hook sizes are #4 for multi-offset hooks and #6–8 for trout hooks. In addition to using the connected body to create a bluegill-like presence with a fluttering thin tail, this 2.8-inch model also allows you to alter the silhouette by separating the body sections.
