issei’s Gill Flat Swimmer is a multi-jointed swimbait that combines the structure of the Masauo with the body shape of a bluegill, pursuing a lifelike swimming action that resembles a real fish. Its large, multi-jointed body produces an S-shaped action during the retrieve, while continuing to exhibit a lingering, inertia-driven movement even after the retrieve is paused.

The body is hollow-molded, with a cavity in the back that provides buoyancy. By modifying the opening in the back, buoyancy can be adjusted to fine-tune the lure’s posture and action according to conditions, from near the surface to any desired depth range. The hollow construction is also designed to improve hook-setting performance, featuring a unique internal structure with fibers inserted inside. This construction maintains flexibility while also providing durability. The lure is primarily intended for a steady retrieve, but can also be used by pausing the retrieve to let it glide on its remaining momentum or by adding variation through rod work and reeling. When depth adjustment is needed, the buoyancy can be altered by modifying the cavity in the back. Measuring 145 mm in length and weighing 58 g, it comes equipped with a #1 hook and #3 split ring. Its size is designed for use with an H-class rod, eliminating the need for a dedicated rod.
