FROG PRODUCTS’ TAGAME SuperBuzz is a topwater plug designed to create a strong presence on the surface by combining a giant water bug-inspired body with a buzzbait-style blade mechanism. Measuring approximately 95 mm and weighing approximately 1 oz, it features a buzz blade at the front and double blades at the rear.
During the retrieve, the front and rear blades rotate, drawing the body across the surface while creating a wake and splashing water. Its distinctive insect-inspired silhouette, unlike that of a conventional buzzbait, is combined with the sound and water displacement produced by multiple blades. The basic technique is to retrieve it at a steady speed to keep the blades rotating, while varying the start of the retrieve after the lure lands and the retrieve speed to attract fish focused on the surface. Its body size and weight make it an easy-to-handle configuration intended for casting with baitcasting tackle.
