SEIKO’s S.Gimmick is a bladed Alabama-style rig designed to imitate a school of baitfish through the flash generated by multiple blades. It consists of a center wire and surrounding wires, with the standard model featuring five blades. The center blade is a gold type, reflecting light during the retrieve to make the rig more noticeable. The wire tips are equipped with connection points for attaching lures, and the rig is intended to be used with combinations such as jig heads rigged with soft-plastic worms. While a steady retrieve is the basic approach, it can also be used for baitfish-school presentations by adjusting the depth and retrieve speed. The S.Gimmick 7, a derivative model, increases the number of blades to seven; its primary difference from the standard model is the blade configuration.
