SIGNAL’s SPEED SHAD is a full-bodied swimbait designed with a flat body and paddle tail to produce a unique swimming action that combines fluttering and wobbling. The soft-material body catches water to create an action that can alternate between strong and natural vibrations.
The body features slits designed for hook setups with weightless and weighted rigs, making it easy to position the hook while also helping promote solid hooksets when a fish bites. A center keel is built into the base of the tail. Cutting the keel angles the tail upward, changing the action to a faster pitch with reduced vibration. In its standard configuration, the bait swims with a pronounced tail kick, while cutting the keel allows it to entice fish with a finer pitch. The action can be adjusted according to the setup. In addition to weightless and weighted rigs, it can also be used as a trailer for swim jigs and Alabama rigs. Available in 4-inch and 5-inch sizes.
