Duo Realis Koninmushi

DUO’s Realis KONINMUSHI is a soft plastic insect bait designed with a compact silhouette that makes it easier to trigger bites in tough conditions, while retaining the core concept of the original NINMUSHI. Rather than simply scaling down the entire bait, the body width and thickness, as well as the length and shape of the water-catching arms, were thoroughly revised to create a bite-sized 32 mm profile. It is well suited for targeting fish focused on insects and frogs near the surface, and can also be presented around overhanging cover and current seams where lures naturally drop into the water.

The bait is made from a floating material infused with salt to increase its specific gravity, maintaining a posture that neither floats too high nor sinks too quickly. Natural fibers create its silhouette and flash, while microscopic air holes formed within the material provide a soft feel when the bait is inhaled. On the surface, fish can be enticed by the ripples created on landing and with subtle manipulation. When rigged on a jighead or drop shot, the legs and appendages move subtly during the free fall, and the bait is also effective when shaken, dragged along the bottom, or left stationary after reaching the bottom. It is also well suited for use as a trailer on a small rubber jig or fished subsurface on a free rig. While the original NINMUSHI is intended for searching a wide area, this model is designed with precision presentations in tight spots and triggering bites in mind.
