RAID JAPAN’s G-DASH was developed as a compact jointed bait designed to speed just beneath the surface. Featuring a three-piece jointed body, it produces a swimming action that resembles a baitfish cruising unsuspectingly below the surface, with the entire body swaying from side to side at normal retrieve speeds. As the retrieve speed increases, the three-piece body kicks the water more forcefully, transitioning to an action reminiscent of a fleeing baitfish. This makes it suitable not only for a steady retrieve, but also for presentations that combine changes in retrieve speed to trigger strikes.

The vertically flattened body shape, inspired by bluegill, is designed to suppress the tendency to roll from side to side like a vibration plug and maintain a stable swimming posture across a wide range of retrieve speeds. In addition, the sides of the tail section feature G-DASH’s original Tri-Fin, inspired by highly efficient swimmers such as surfboards, marlin, tuna, and sharks. By increasing its ability to grip the water, the Tri-Fin produces an abrupt stop reminiscent of a bluegill when the retrieve is paused. In addition to a standard retrieve, during a stop-and-go presentation the lure twists and moves on the surface in response to line stretch, subtle currents, and wind, even when the line is slack. This allows for a presentation in which the lure is paused once after the cast and then brought back to life. Measuring 130 mm in length, this model combines the linked action of its jointed body with the Tri-Fin’s water-gripping performance to explore the area just beneath the surface using a combination of retrieve speed changes and pauses.
