RAID JAPAN’s WHIP CRAWLER is a straight-tail worm developed to deliver all-around performance for a wide variety of rigs. While maintaining the firmness required of a straight worm, it pursues a balanced design that is neither too hard nor too soft, too thick nor too thin, or too heavy nor too light.

The body features different cross-sectional shapes along its length: only the hook-setting section has a triangular cross section, while the other sections use a triangular cross section that is as close to a perfect circle as possible. By choosing which surface to rig the hook through, you can produce two distinct actions with different characteristics. Rigged on the flat surface marked with the RJ logo, it firmly catches water and generates a pronounced body-wobbling action. When rigged across the apex of the triangular section with vertical grooves, its action changes to a high-pitch swimming action that cuts through the water, combined with a tight-rolling action. Ribs with different pitches are positioned on the head and tail sections, while deep grooves at the action pivot points create a fall that begins moving naturally immediately after splashdown when wacky rigged. It is compatible with neko rigs, jighead wacky rigs, weightless wacky rigs, and wacky-style drop shots, and depending on the sinker weight, it can also be paired with bait finesse tackle.
