RYUGI’s INSET KEEPER is an add-on worm keeper that uses an existing worm keeper to increase worm-holding power while minimizing its effect on lure action and the worm’s silhouette. It is designed to be attached to the ridged worm keepers found on spinnerbaits, rubber jigs, jig heads, and similar lures. Its thin wire keeper is embedded inside the worm, preventing a large component from being exposed on the outside and helping maintain the worm’s shape.
To use it, first rig the worm onto the hook, then grip the triangular base of the INSET KEEPER with pliers or your fingers. Next, insert it from the underside of the worm keeper, aiming so that the recessed section of the worm keeper is positioned between the two V-shaped ends of the product. Select the size according to the diameter of the worm keeper. For R4002, sizes S and M are available: S fits worm keepers with diameters of 1.5–3.0 mm, while M fits diameters of 2.0–4.0 mm. Holding power may be reduced when used with worm keepers outside the applicable range, so check the shape and diameter of the worm keeper before installation.
