Ryugi Deep Tracer

RYUGI’s DEEP TRACER is a sinker developed to send plugs into deep ranges that have traditionally been difficult to reach without using worms or large crankbaits, while minimizing its impact on plug action and casting performance. As water depth increases, targeting fish with small crankbaits or large big baits becomes more difficult. Adding weight with strip sinkers can easily disrupt a plug’s action, while heavy Carolina rigs tend to compromise casting performance and snag resistance. Taking a different approach from these methods, the DEEP TRACER is designed to reach deeper ranges while minimizing any reduction in the plug’s original performance.

Its uniquely shaped sinker is used in combination with a plug, with the weight selected according to the target depth, plug type, and required diving depth. The SDT123 is available in 11 weights ranging from 1/8 oz (3.5 g) to 2 oz (56 g). It supports setups designed to target deep ranges that are difficult to reach with standard plugs, while minimizing reductions in plug action and casting performance and maintaining snag resistance.
