Ryugi The Standard

RYUGI’s THE STANDARD is an offset hook designed to balance ease of use and hooking performance. Its shape makes it easy to rig soft plastics and helps prevent them from slipping during use. Developed in response to requests for a “standard hook” among RYUGI’s offset hook lineup, it features a basic appearance while incorporating design considerations for the role of each hook component. The hook point is set at a basic angle that promotes both easy penetration through cover and reliable penetration into the fish’s mouth. The gap is designed to be neither too wide nor too narrow, making it suitable for a wide variety of soft plastics. The wire diameter is also set at a balanced thickness—not too thick and not too thin.

The hook is made from Cyber Metal and its basic performance is enhanced by a TC coating. The design makes it easy to rig a soft plastic along the hook, while the hook point angle and gap dimensions help balance secure soft-plastic retention with hook-point exposure. It can be selected to match the shape and size of the soft plastic, from setups focused on slipping through cover to basic offset rigs for open water. HST105 is available in sizes 1, 1/0, 2/0, 3/0, 4/0, and 5/0, allowing anglers to choose according to the volume of the soft plastic.
