RYUGI’s BEANS BLACK BEANS TG is an unconventional sinker designed to combine the snag resistance of a bullet sinker with the fall speed and cover-penetrating ability of a punch-shot-style rig—two characteristics that are typically difficult to achieve together. When a bullet sinker is subjected to line resistance, it tends to become horizontal, which can reduce its fall speed and ability to penetrate cover. Punch-shot-style rigs, on the other hand, can be prone to snagging because the sinker and soft bait attempt to pass through cover at the same time. The BLACK BEANS TG was developed with these characteristics in mind.

Its unique shape is less affected by the line, allowing the sinker to pull the line and soft bait straight down through the water while maintaining its posture during the fall and passing through cover. When contacting cover, the sinker enters first, helping to prevent the soft bait from being displaced. When exiting cover, the sinker slips through first, much like a Texas rig, helping to reduce the snagging that can be an issue with punch-shot-style rigs. It is also designed for hard use and features a special matte-black finish that resists peeling.

This model is easy to use for punch-shot-style rigs around cover, as well as for setups where the sinker’s falling posture and cover-penetrating ability are priorities.
