RYUGI’s PIERCE TREBLE DAGGER is a downsized treble hook designed for light plugging while retaining the performance of the PIERCE TREBLE. Depending on how a treble hook is attached to a lure, multiple hook points may contact the fish at the same time, making it easy for hooking power to become dispersed. Rather than simply making the hook smaller, RYUGI has given it a slightly longer shank to increase hooking power and create a setup that more readily converts short bites.
The hook points feature a design developed through experience with a focus on reliable penetration, combining a special steel material with excellent abrasion resistance and a TC coating that enhances penetration. In addition, the slightly downsized barb is designed to minimize interference with hook penetration into the fish. Intended as a replacement hook for plugs used with light rods and light line, it can be selected to match the lure’s size and balance. HPD057 is available in sizes 5, 6, 7, 8, 10, and 12.
