KAHARA JAPAN’s Lure Retriever “Tan Tan Tanuki” is designed to slide along the line to a snagged lure and retrieve it with the metal component at the front. The main body measures 12.5 cm in length, weighs 272 g, and is made of steel. It comes with two chains and a 20 m cord. After sending the body down to the location of the snag, pull the cord to retrieve the lure.

When using the retriever, first hold the rod tip or line by hand and raise it as high as possible above the snagged position. If using a thin line, operate it carefully to avoid placing excessive load on components such as the line swivel, and keep the line taut at all times. Then create an angle between the line and the water’s surface, allowing the body to slide along the line until it reaches the lure.
